Aaron Millar

"If in doubt, keep your leg on sit behind the horse and not worry too much about the distance. Keep the rhythm and balance and the distance will appear."

About Aaron

Aaron's riding career began at Pony Club and his first big success came when he won the Pony Club championships aged just 14. Other successes followed and in 2006 Aaron won the Young Event Rider Showjumping Championships and finished his Junior Career by posting the best score out of the British Team at the Junior Europeans in Saumar. During this year he also rode in his first CIC*** at Barbary and Hartpury and finished the season fourth in the U21 rankings. By 2008 Aaron had risen to the top of the U21 rankings, accumulating the most National and International points, and had two horses selected for the Young Riders Team. 2009 however was when he reached his goal of competing at Badminton with Stormstay (Henry). The wonderful Henry went on to give Aaron two more faultless rounds at Burghley before he decided to retire him from top level competitions. Since then Aaron has been concentrating on producing World Class horses for the performance market and has gained a great deal of satisfaction from taking a green four year old and turning it into a confident, balanced and successful horse. One of his most notable successes was Allercombe Ellie who was bred just two minutes away from Aaron's home near Exeter. He produced Ellie from a five year old up to three star level and in 2014 she was selected for the World Equestrian Games. Other recent highlights include a successful run at Blenheim with Leonardo VIII and a podium finish at Ballindenisk International with Isle Valley.
